Last Stages of Installation, Some Handy Hints.

When you are ready to screw your Air-Tight cap onto the adaptor ring or hub, place grease on the threads for ease of threading and tightening.

After pressurizing your Air-Tight Bearing Protector to 10 psi (after full assembly), run your trailer a short distance (a couple of miles) to relieve any air pockets in the grease. After this initial run, you may see a slight decrease in pressure due to those air pockets collapsing. Using your hand pump, top off your pressure to 10 psi, and you should be good to go. If you notice a continual leak of air pressure after this exercise, you will need to check the integrity of your seal-to-axle interface for leaks. Generally with a new seal, this leak of pressure is due to improper assembly.
